The main conference hall will be at the Department of Sociology and Social Research.

Social Events

During the conference, the following social events will be held, open to all officially registered conference attendees without any extra charge:

  • a welcome evening with drinks on Tuesday 19 November at 18:30, held in the Aula of the Department of Sociology (the same building as the conference venue);
  • a guided tour in English of one of the most important monuments of Trento: the Castello Buonconsiglio.
  • a social dinner in the ancient and suggestive Trattoria Piedicastello, with excellent traditional Trentino dishes and a warm homely atmosphere in the autumn days.

In addition, the Christmas markets will be opening in Trento on 23 November. For a more active post-conference experience, you may spend your weekend in the Dolomites skiing on the fresh snow.

According to the local forecasts, during your stay in Trento the weather could be quite variable, with rain and sun alternating during the day. The daily temperature will be between 0 to 10°C.

You can easily take a walk and explore the small City Centre of the ancient medieval town Trento. Walking is in fact the best way to get around the city.
